"Simone Prieuer, Dancer" ca. 1930/11-1 - Man Ray
There was a girl named Simone who lived in my dorm. She had long locs and was from Brooklyn. She used to wear these enormous head wraps and we used to make fun of her and say she was a "fake ass Erykah Badu". She impressed me when she said she went to grade school with Foxy Brown nee Inga Marchand. I was easily impressed then. But I really thought that Simone was this ethereal artsy girl. I found her on Facebook last week, she's the public defender in King's County Brooklyn and I'm pretty sure she has a weave now.
